The i-Share Study
The i-Share study is a longitudinal cohort containing over 20,000 University students which aims to evaluate important health issues in young adults. In addition to evaluating the frequency and impact of specific health conditions, i-Share will also enable the testing of biological mechanisms and preventive strategies.
i-Share was established by the Universities of Bordeaux and Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (France) and was supported by the French government Excellence Program from 2011 to 2017; it is now supported by the French region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It is open for national and international collaborations. i-Share has a modular structure that allows several independently managed and established sub-studies in which detailed information can be collected. Around 15 sub-studies have already been implemented in various fields.
