A trained internist and former head of laboratory at the Institut Pasteur, Didier Guillemot is a professor of epidemiology and public health at the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and a practicing physician at Assistance Publique de Paris. His research focuses on understanding the escape phenomena of anti-infectives (antibiotics, vaccines, etc.). He leads the Pharmacoepidemiology and Infectious Diseases (Pharmacoépidémiologie et Maladies Infectieuses) research group at the Institut Pasteur/EA4499 Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, a group affiliated with U657 INSERM. He has published numerous international scientific articles, including several in the most prestigious journals: JAMA, PNAS, Plos Medicine.
