A trained hepatologist and investigative epidemiologist in the field of food-borne diseases, she began her work at the Institut de Veille Sanitaire. She joined the Institut Pasteur in 2008 as part of a research program on viral hepatitis in Egypt. Her current work within the Pharmacoepidemiology and Infectious Diseases (Pharmaco-épidémiologie et Maladies Infectieuses) group focuses on the escape of anti-infectives. As part of i-Share, Elisabeth leads two research programs focusing on sexually transmitted diseases in young adults, one examining Human Papilloma Virus, other on Chlamydia infections.
