After graduating in Communication Theory from the University of Florence, Ilaria received her European Doctorate (University of Verona, Italy, and INSERM, UMR_S 1136, Institut Pierre Louis d’Epidémiologie et de Santé Publique, Paris, France) in Psychological and Psychiatric Sciences with a thesis on “Communication, Internet and Translational Research applied to Mental Health”. She joined the team in February 2014. Her key focuses are: analyzing the role of new media in the mental health of students; studying communication in health, mental health data, health literacy, use of the internet and new technologies for health and well-being; and spreading the study across Europe.
